Google Interested In YouTube?
AP says Google “is in talks to acquire the popular online video site YouTube Inc. for about $1.6 billion in cash and stock, according to published reports.” I’ve seen the rumors pop up before but being repeated at AP gives them some more credibility...
Just recently, Google Video was spotted experimenting with more YouTube-like, community-oriented features. If they do buy the site I believe it wouldn’t be for technical reasons, but indeed to aquire content & community. Then again, you can’t just buy a community...
